Please, be welcome to my website. My name is Gerard and I hope I can tell you a little more about myself.

I was born and raised in Limburg and live in Valkenburg, South Limburg together with my wife and our dog. I am 41 years old.

In my work, I am a team player and take care of my own tasks. I support and help my team members in their work so that we achieve a good result together. The motto "we are in this together" definitely applies for me. In addition, I regularly act as a point of contact for often more complex stories and assignments, also for colleagues outside the team.

With my analytical ability, I can investigate problems and issues and arrive at the right solution. Here, quality is always paramount, but I also take into account the wishes of the customer. I always try to make applied solutions generic, so that they can be reused in the future. My qualities are mainly technical. I have bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

In my spare time I like to go for a walk with the dog through the Limburg countryside. I love good food, cooking and baking myself or eating out. I also like to play games, both online on the computer, and offline in the form of board games. On weekends, I like to spend an evening socializing with friends over a snack and a drink.

For this, I gather the right information from various departments and individuals, research what the best solution is and record this data in stories. The assignments cover multiple modules, such as HR, CSM, ITSM, Service Portal, ITOM, etc.

As Technical Consultant for 4Industry, an application developed by Plat4mation for industrial companies, I supervised implementations and made adjustments according to customer requirements. In addition, as Technical Consultant ServiceNow, I have been working in (DevOps) teams at customers to support daily operations and further develop the platform based on stories.

I continued my work as Technical Consultant ServiceNow where I carried out (re)implementations at customers on a project basis in a team. Again, this involved multiple modules, such as ITSM, CSM, HR, Service Portal, etc. In addition, I did researcg regarding Event Management, process automation, etc for various customers. As a developer I worked on a platform which helps customers in the transformation to DevOps.

As Technical Consultant ServiceNow, I did (re)implementations at customers. These involved various modules, such as ITSM, CSM, HR, Service Portal, etc. These projects were carried out as a team. I also independently did smaller assignments at customers, such as research into Event Management, setting up Performance Analytics, automating various processes, supervising and executing upgrades, etc.

Application Support Analyst
Besides creating various reports on request for several teams at pension management, I was also involved in developing custom applications. These applications were used by some teams to support their work, where the standard software did not offer enough possibilities. These applications were developed in Microsoft Access.

The custom application for this health insurance company was developed by an external party, but support was provided in the Functional Application Management team. Task was to support the daily work for the other teams, to be the link between end user and developer and to support in new releases. I also automated several daily tasks and activities, so that there was more time and attention for open questions and requests. For this, I wrote procedures in PL/SQL in the Oracle database.

Servicedesk Analyst
Started on the service desk in a customer team for a large Dutch bank. Later moved on to the tooling team where I provided support to the other customer teams in the areas of (ip) telephony, dashboards & reporting and automation. Here my previous team was the most important “customer”, given my experience and knowledge of the activities, working methods and set-up.
